About Lakeland Comprehensive Treatment Center in Lakeland, FL

Lakeland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Lakeland, Florida, provides medication-assisted treatment on an outpatient basis for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid use disorder.

Also known as MAT, medication-assisted treatment is an evidence-based form of opioid addiction treatment that features both prescription medication and a counseling component. Methadone clinics across the country have used MAT for years, as research has shown it to be a safe and effective way to treat opioid addiction.

While some methadone clinics offer just one type of medication in their MAT, our Lakeland center uses methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone. After we gather some information that will help us understand your specific needs, our staff of experienced professionals will prescribe one of these medications for you as part of your personalized care plan.

Our Treatment Therapies

Medication is a significant part of why MAT works, but it’s not the only component. For a methadone clinic to help patients effectively attain long-term recovery, there needs to be a therapeutic element to care.

The medication we prescribe for you will help with the physical discomfort from withdrawal and opioid cravings. The therapy sessions that take place at our addiction treatment center can help you work through any emotional, behavioral, and social factors that may have led to your struggles.

At our Lakeland center, we offer both individual and group therapy. Individual sessions allow you to meet one-on-one with one of our experienced professionals, who will help you develop strategies to stop using opioids and avoid relapse. In group sessions, you’ll be paired with fellow patients who are following a similar path to recovery. In both cases, you can develop skills that will benefit you as you work toward a healthier lifestyle.

What to Expect at Lakeland CTC Methadone Clinic

Deciding to pursue treatment for an opioid addiction isn’t an easy choice. At our Lakeland center, we do everything we can to make the admissions process as easy as possible so that you can begin getting the help you need.

There is no one-size-fits-all treatment at our Lakeland facility. We treat the whole person instead of their set of symptoms, and that starts at the assessment stage.

We’ll walk you through a comprehensive set of basic tests prior to admission so that we can better understand your medical history, your current symptoms, and any previous treatment you’ve received. This will help us cater your personalized plan to your specific needs and goals.

When you begin participating in programming at our Lakeland methadone clinic, we’ll encourage you to play an active role in your recovery. The more present and engaged you are in your therapy sessions, the more knowledge and skills you’ll walk away with. By fully participating, you’ll give yourself an excellent chance to achieve better health.

Methadone gave me a second chance at life, a life that heroin was taking away. I am forever grateful. Thank you!
