Adults in the Galax, Virginia, area who have been struggling with opioid addiction can receive personalized outpatient care at New River Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC). New River CTC provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older of all genders.

MAT is an evidence-based, research-supported method of opioid addiction treatment that includes prescription medication and counseling.

Today, adults who receive care at our outpatient opioid addiction treatment center in Galax, Virginia, may receive one of four medications: methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, or Suboxone.
