About Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center in Winston-Salem, NC

Winston-Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid addiction.

Through decades of work, researchers have found that the use of MAT is both safe and effective in helping people who are addicted to opioids experience better outcomes. While some methadone clinics offer one medication to help reduce the detrimental effects of withdrawal, our Winston-Salem center uses both methadone and buprenorphine.

Our staff of compassionate professionals is attuned to the fact that patients can have considerably different reactions to these medications. We’ll develop a personalized treatment plan for you that includes the type of medication, dosage, and various therapeutic components that will give you the best chance at the most optimal long-term outcome.

Individualized Treatment for Opioid Addiction in Winston-Salem, NC

Everyone who deals with opioid addiction has a different experience, which is why it’s best to avoid any methadone clinic that promotes a one-size-fits-all mantra. At our Winston-Salem treatment center, we make it our goal to understand exactly what you need before you begin MAT.

Studies have shown that the most effective form of medication-assisted treatment contains a strong therapeutic component. At our Winston-Salem center, we believe in this wholeheartedly, which is why we offer both individual and group therapy sessions to help you address the mental and emotional aspects of recovery.

In individual therapy, you’ll be paired with a trained professional who can help you unpack some of the decisions that led you to abuse opioids and chart the best path forward. In group sessions, a counselor will oversee a discussion between you and other adults who are experiencing similar struggles. You’ll develop camaraderie and discover that you aren’t alone on this journey.

What to Expect at Winston-Salem CTC

Most people who are struggling with opioid addiction take time to arrive at the decision to receive treatment at a methadone clinic. Once you make up your mind, the last thing you want is a complicated admissions process.

At our Winston-Salem center, we make everything as straightforward as possible. It begins with an intake appointment that allows our staff to get to know you better. We’ll ask you some basic questions about your medical history and any previous treatment you’ve received, and we’ll walk you through some routine testing that will help us as we develop your personalized care plan.

Once you begin to participate in programming, we ask that you play an active role in your recovery. We encourage you to ask questions and fully engage in therapeutic sessions. By putting in the effort to get the most out of treatment, you’ll set yourself up for success and sobriety for years to come.
