About Deer Park Mobile Unit in Deer Park, WA

Deer Park Mobile Unit is a mobile treatment center offering medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older. We’re proud to provide MAT services on an outpatient basis for people who reside in and around Deer Park, Washington. Our medication-assisted treatment program serves adults who are seeking long-term recovery from addictions to opioids, including heroin, prescription painkillers, and fentanyl. Deer Park Mobile Unit is a satellite location of Spokane Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Spokane, Washington.

Medication-assisted treatment is a whole-person approach to opioid addiction care. It combines the use of prescription medication with counseling to provide a well-rounded approach to opioid addiction treatment. At our mobile treatment center, we’re pleased to offer individual and group therapy sessions, with telehealth counseling available. These services help make us different from other methadone clinics and allow us to provide a comprehensive level of support for our patients.

Some methadone clinics and outpatient rehab centers offer one or two types of medication to help relieve the physical symptoms of opioid withdrawal and promote ongoing recovery. However, Deer Park Mobile Unit provides a wider range of options, allowing us to meet a variety of individual needs. At our mobile clinic in Deer Park, we can prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone®, or Vivitrol as part of someone’s individualized treatment plan. Our expert staff monitors the use of these medications to help make sure that each person in our program receives care that is safe and tailored to their needs.

At Deer Park Mobile Unit, we deliver premier MAT services in a safe, supportive, and accepting setting. This means that we welcome people from diverse backgrounds and strive to treat everyone with the highest levels of respect and dignity. We aim to create an environment where each person can collaborate on decisions with their treatment team and feel comfortable throughout their recovery journey. We feature a qualified team of substance abuse treatment and medical professionals, including substance abuse counselors, licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and physicians.

At our methadone clinic in Deer Park, we provide a personalized treatment experience for everyone in our program. We want our patients to gather the tools for long-term recovery and rediscover a sense of hope for the future. Through professional support and focused care, we help adults rebuild healthier lives.

Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction

Medication-assisted treatment has a long history of use in methadone clinics and other outpatient treatment programs. It is an evidence-based method of opioid addiction treatment, and organizations like the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recommend it as a safe and effective form of care.

When someone receives MAT from a qualified provider, they can experience many physical and social benefits. MAT is a lifesaving treatment that can be appropriate for adults who have a broad range of opioid addiction recovery needs.

One important reason to consider medication-assisted treatment is that it can lower your risk for engaging in further opioid use, which can help protect you from the negative consequences of ongoing substance abuse. Additionally, taking medication as part of a MAT program can help people achieve better functioning in their daily lives, which may make treatment much easier and more successful. Enhanced social functioning and increased treatment retention are important and commonly noted benefits of medication-assisted treatment. MAT participation can also make it easier for people to find and maintain employment as well as help to reduce work absences and injuries.

In our medication-assisted treatment program, we offer multiple medications to support patients’ recovery journeys. The medications we offer are designed to make the process of withdrawing from opioids more manageable and less distressing. When taken as directed by qualified professionals, methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone® can help ease the physical challenges of opioid withdrawal and reduce opioid cravings. Vivitrol is an extended-release injectable medication consisting of naltrexone. When used as directed, it is effective in curbing opioid cravings and blocking opioid effects, which can help people remain committed to recovery.

The length of time someone participates in medication-assisted treatment and their overall care journey usually depends on their needs, the state of their health, and the progress they make. At Deer Park Mobile Unit, we take a personalized and comprehensive approach to aftercare planning to help promote the best possible outcomes when people transition out of our program.

What To Expect at Our Deer Park Methadone Clinic

If you are looking for a reputable methadone clinic or Suboxone® clinic near Deer Park, we encourage you to consider our treatment center. Choosing between different options like methadone or buprenorphine treatment or searching for the right Suboxone® doctor near you can feel overwhelming. But when you choose Deer Park Mobile Unit, you can be sure that we’ll provide a high level of support that allows you to confidently take the next steps on your recovery journey.

We’ve designed the intake procedures at Deer Park Mobile Unit to be smooth and supportive. The first step to receiving care is to participate in an intake assessment to determine if our services are right for you. We’ll strive to move you through the process as quickly as possible so that you can begin getting the care you need. To arrange an assessment, you may call our clinic or walk into our mobile facility.

When you complete our assessment and intake process, you will follow these basic steps:

  • During your intake appointment, you’ll start by completing initial paperwork.
  • Your next steps will involve completing a physical exam, participating in a drug screen, and undertaking other tests as needed.
  • Working with a clinical staff member, you’ll also complete a biopsychosocial evaluation, which can help us understand your unique needs, strengths, and goals and create your treatment plan.
  • If you are pregnant and not currently seeing an OB-GYN, you may speak with a staff member to get referrals for prenatal care.
  • After completing all prior steps of the intake process, our professionals can admit you to treatment, and you can begin receiving medication.

During your time in our MAT program, we’ll work to coordinate your care as needed to promote your success and ensure your health and safety. If you require mental health treatment services that we do not offer on-site, we will refer you to outside providers who can support you. Additionally, if you are taking other medications as part of the mental health treatment you’re receiving, we will collaborate with your prescribing physician on the most appropriate care plan. Our team of counselors and medical staff can also collaborate with your referral source throughout MAT if you give appropriate permission.

Value of Substance Abuse Therapy

The safe prescribing of medication is an important part of what we do at Deer Park Mobile Unit methadone clinic. But it is just one component of quality MAT programming. Counseling can also be crucial for helping you begin to thrive and regain your health. At our mobile clinic, we believe that counseling can provide each patient with a toolkit for continued recovery.

The frequency of individual counseling sessions at our clinic usually depends on your needs and the length of time you’ve been in treatment. These individual sessions can be excellent opportunities to speak one-on-one with a substance abuse counselor and gain deeper insights into your struggles with opioid addiction. Breaking unhealthy habits can be hard, but the skills you can learn and practice in counseling can make your goals feel much more achievable.

One-on-one counseling can also be a source of needed support, helping you feel less alone and more understood. At Deer Park Mobile Unit, we strive to create a recovery space that is hopeful and free of judgment.

Additionally, the group therapy sessions we offer patients at our mobile clinic can be invaluable. Broadly speaking, the benefits of participating in substance abuse group therapy can include:

  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Learning interpersonal skills
  • Exploring problem-solving strategies
  • Witnessing and learning from others’ success
  • Joining a community with a shared commitment to recovery
