Acadia Healthcare recently launched Quincy Mobile Unit, a mobile treatment center in Quincy, Massachusetts, that provides addiction treatment services for adults age 18 and older who are suffering from opioid addictions. The mobile unit opened on March 1, 2023, and its staff specializes in providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT). MAT is a comprehensive approach to treating opioid addictions that combines FDA-approved medications and counseling sessions. Medications can ease opioid withdrawal symptoms, while counseling sessions can provide education on recovery skills such as coping strategies. The addition of the new clinic reflects Acadia Healthcare’s ongoing efforts to provide evidence-based opioid addiction treatment nationwide, making it available to as many Americans as possible.
